Welcome to Petastra. These Terms of Service explain the conditions for using petastra.ca and purchasing from our store. “We,” “us” and “our” refer to the business trading as Pet Astra.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Please read these terms alongside our Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy before placing an order.

1. Using our store

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement or act with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate contact, billing and shipping information and to use only payment methods you are authorized to use.

You must not use our website for fraud, unlawful activities, distributing harmful software or attempting unauthorized access.

2. Product information

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, measurements, prices and availability. Colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings.

Please review the product description, size chart and care instructions before ordering. Contact us if information you need is missing or unclear.

If we discover an error affecting your order, we will contact you to explain the issue and available options. We will not charge an additional amount or substitute a product without your agreement.

3. Prices and payments

The applicable currency, product prices, shipping charges and taxes are shown during checkout. Please review your order total before completing your purchase.

Prices and promotions may change for future purchases. Such changes do not alter an order already accepted.

Payments are processed through the payment providers available at checkout.

4. Orders and availability

After you place an order, we will send an order confirmation to the email address provided at checkout.

If we cannot fulfil your order because an item is unavailable, payment fails or another material issue arises, we will contact you. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled items and any associated charges that no longer apply.

We may decline orders where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or unauthorized payment.

5. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship within Canada.

Orders usually require 10–12 business days for processing, followed by an estimated 12–15 business days for delivery after dispatch. The estimated total is 22–27 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Delivery times are estimates. Carrier disruptions, weather and other circumstances may cause delays. These estimates do not remove any rights you have concerning late or missing deliveries.

If your parcel is delayed, missing or marked delivered but cannot be located, contact us so we can investigate.

6. Changes and cancellations

To request a cancellation or address change, email petastra92@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number.

We will check whether your request can be accommodated. Changes and voluntary cancellations may not be possible once processing or dispatch has begun.

This does not limit cancellation rights available under applicable law.

7. Returns and refunds

Our voluntary return policy allows you to request a return within 30 days after receiving your item, subject to the eligibility requirements and exceptions in our Return & Refund Policy.

Contact us before sending an item back so we can provide approval and the correct return instructions.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after return approval following inspection. Your payment provider may require additional time to post the refund.

Our voluntary return conditions do not replace your rights concerning faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

8. Product use and pet supervision

Follow the product instructions, care guidance, size recommendations and any stated weight limits.

Supervise your pet while using pet products and stop use if an item becomes damaged or causes discomfort. Pet pocket hoodies are not substitutes for secure travel carriers or vehicle restraints.

These precautions do not exclude our responsibility for defective products or limit your consumer rights.

9. Customer accounts

If you create an account, keep your login details secure and your information up to date. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats or misuse. Restricting an account does not remove obligations relating to existing purchases or refunds.

10. Reviews and submissions

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Do not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive content or material that infringes another person’s rights.

You retain ownership of your submissions. When you submit a review for publication, you permit us to display it with the name or display name you provide. We may moderate content that violates these terms, but we do not remove reviews solely because they are negative.

11. Intellectual property

Website text, images, logos and other protected content belong to Petastra or their respective owners or licensors.

You may use our website for personal shopping purposes. Reproduction or commercial use of protected content requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law.

12. Third-party services and links

Our website may link to independent websites or use third-party services. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices.

Using such services does not remove Petastra’s responsibilities to you in connection with your purchase.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information and how you can contact us about your privacy choices.

14. Website availability

We aim to keep our website available and accurate, but temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical reasons.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, responsibilities or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

If you have a complaint, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. You retain your right to seek assistance from consumer protection authorities or pursue legal remedies available to you.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. Updates apply to future use and purchases and do not retrospectively change an existing order without a lawful basis or your agreement.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
